Angel Contreras-
Angel is our headliner for 2012 and will be traveling from the windy city of Chicago to share his talents. Angel has entertained crowds with his wacky caricatures and illustrations since 1988. His style of entertaining in his clown persona is gentle, mesmerizing and touching as he shares his love for the Lord through art.
David Ginn-
David performs 300-400 shows yearly at schools, libraries, conventions and churches. He is the author of over 80 + books audio tapes and DVDs on magic, comedy entertaining. David is a fulltime performer, writer, lecturer and teacher of others on how to entertain children and family audiences. David is an international entertainer and a member of Fellowship of Christian Magicians.
Steve Kissell-
Steve has been performing for 30 years at conventions, schools, churches, libraries, birthday and holiday parties. He also shares the performing arts of clowning, comedy magic, and storytelling. His is a co-producer of Circus Magic, Balloon and Magic Mania, Clown Jubilee and is the director of Comedy Magic Workshop and Kentucky Clown Derby.
Brenda Marshall-
She has been sharing the gospel with children of all ages as “Flower the Clown” since 1981. Her book, “Sharing God’s Love Through Laughter- A Guide to Christian Clowning”, was written to encourage others in this unique ministry. She was the first woman president of Clowns of America International, a worldwide organization with over 6,000 members. She is a life member of both COAI and the Texas Clown Association. Brenda has performed internationally and was the leader of the first People to People delegation of clowns to visit China. She has taught workshops at festivals and conferences from Fort Worth, Texas to Singapore.
David Laflin-
David is a professional entertainer who uses illusions to motivate, encourage, teach and amaze. His high energy, fast paced, colorful programs have been featured on Daystar Television and by many of the nation’s leading conferences and conventions. David has had the privilege of performing around the world multiple times in places like Europe, Africa, Asia and both North and South America. He is sure to bring a smile to your face, laughter to your mouth and a message to your heart.
Sue Kleinwachter-
“Pancakes” is “The Queen of Theme” and hails from the windy city of Chicago. Her enlightening presentations will spark smiles and enthusiasm that will allow you to open new doors of creativity with your entertainment and compassion for clowning. Sue is a full time clown, storyteller and public speaker.
Aurora Krause-
Aurora is currently the Past President of World Clown Association and a sought after lecturer all over the world. Aurora has a unique approach to her character and is the queen of expressions. Recently retiring from the corporate world, Aurora has devoted her time to nursing homes, competition, lecturing and traveling.
Kevin Dewey-
Kevin is the grandson of Ralph Dewey. Like Grandfather Like Grandson. Kevin is a chip off the block! Kevin made his first balloon dog at the age of 2. Since then he has mastered a lot more balloon creations. At the age of 10, he taught a basic balloon class at the 2008 Diamond Jam Convention. He has also been an instructor at the Fellowship of Christian Magician’s convention in Marion, IN and the TNT Clown Camp in Toccoa, GA.
Dave and Dana Hill-
Dave has performed for 30 years and gone from novice clown to full time business owner, speaker, and notorious comedy performer. He has entertained audiences large and small such as Wal-Mart, Lowes, Lennox China and others. He is a long time member of Berkeley Civitan Clowns. He has entertained at many conventions such as COAI and WCA. Now Dave is joined by his son Dana and they are blowing audiences away with their Blues Brothers performances.
Tony Jones-
Tony will be joining us again and sharing his long time entertaining experiences. Tony is the creator of TNT Gospel Clown Camp in Toccoa, Georgia and the editor of Clowning for Christ magazine. Tony has been on the lecture route for many years and traveled with Marcella Murad and Leon McBride. He is a familiar face at many conventions.
Andy Anderson-
Andy “Smiley” Anderson, an award winning clown, began clowning with his church in 1984. He is a member of COAI and WCA. Andy is currently President of Texas Clown Association. He has held various offices with the above as well as his local alley, Cowtown Clowns. Andy has shared his love for clowning for many years through clown ministry, teaching classes, conventions, local alleys and his own business.
John Luce-
John has been a clown for twenty four years and has had the privilege of performing with some of the best Gospel Clowns in the business. He has taught beginner clown classes at local churches, hospitals and the Tarrant County Community College. He has earned numerous awards for his devotion to the art of clowning. John is currently the Vice President and Chaplain for the Texas Clown Association. John is active in his church clown missions programs and makes yearly trips to North Dakota where he performs for the children of the Sioux Nation for their Vacation Bible School.
Becky Deltenre-
Becky Deltenre, better known in certain circles as “Skeeter the Clown” is striving to set new standards in education and entertaining audiences of all ages with her unique approach of spreading the Gospel Message with humor, love and a lighthearted flair. Throughout history, the Good News has been made available to all people and in every language. . . . even clown language. For over twenty five years Becky has devoted herself to teaching children’s ministry. This has since lead her to develop the character “Skeeter”. Skeeter is able to reach out to many more audiences, people who otherwise might never visit a church. Although the method may change, the message never will. . . . “God Loves You!”
Ruben Ramirez-
Ruben is a family entertainer with 30 years of professional experience. He is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas and is employed as a Juvenile Probation Officer of Harris County. At the age of 13, he was recording and playing with a dance band. He has been performing his bi-lingual theatrical productions for many years at libraries for their reading programs. He is “Happy the Clown” and has entertained thousands of children with his educational programs. Happy’s programs include education, magic, music, dance, balloon sculptures, face painting and audience participation.
Frances Poage-
Frances graduated from Cheerful Clown Alley Clown School in 2001. She jumped right in and started entertaining in hospitals and nursing homes. Her Grandmother was in a nursing home and provided “Cuddles” an opportunity to let the Caring Clown bug bite her! She continues that desire in nursing homes, hospitals, for hospice patients and at her church. For the past three years, she has traveled to Romania to minister to the children in the Gypsy villages. She has also served on the board of Cheerful Clown Alley for 7 years as well as being Clown School and TCA Convention Chairperson and Cheerful Chatter Editor.
Marsha Galindo-
LaLa is a member of Jesters for Jesus and a long time performer in the ministry and birthday party circuit. She is a member of the “Clown Family”. She has performed a gazillion shows with her husband, Pepe, and her daughters. She has a wealth of information to share with you!
The Cavazos-
All the way from Mexico, this family can share with you what God has done in their area under much adversity. Their ministry is amazing in the mountains and is centered but not limited to seniors. Everyday living is a true testimony that God is in charge. Clowning has certainly been used by this family as a tool to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
